One person can make a difference, and everyone should try. – John Fitzgerald Kennedy
Rightly said and that is the aim we move forward with at BVN. Our enthusiastic lot of interacters who work through the year selflessly do not need any motivation or encouragement but just an opportunity that impels them. There are a number of agendas that are planned for the session. It generally commences with the installation ceremony wherein a new team of council members takes over the charge of planning and execution. The Labour Day is celebrated with the multi taskers of the school where they are treated to a lunch especially served by the children – in a small way showing their gratitude. Collecting donations –whether it is dry rations in the summers, woollens in the winters or stationery – is all done dedicatedly by the team.
Visit to the old age homes and orphanages where the students spend quality time with the inmates is a routine affair. The Interact Club has also tied up with Govt Girls school, Pushp Vihar. The students make a weekly visit there for peer teaching.
Swach Bharat Abhiyaan and preserving nature are special agendas which are very close to the hearts of this socially responsible group. Every endeavor is made to grab each opportunity to spread awareness and messages in and around the school.
When we talk about “social responsibility” at BVN, we’re describing a mindset that injects socially responsible thinking into every students mind and a strategy for using their skills to create positive change in communities and our students make it happen – through their commitment, and their volunteering efforts for community development.
